Magyar Minute is a personal publication run by Ray, an American living in Budapest. This page explains what the site collects, how it is used, and what it does not do.

What this site collects

Contact messages. When you send a message through the contact form, the site collects your email address and anything else you choose to share: a name, a location, a topic, and your message. This is used only to read your note and reply.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, the site stores your email address so it can send occasional updates. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies that keep things working, for example remembering that you closed the cookie notice. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking added by the site.

Embedded videos

Some pages embed videos from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook. When you play one, that platform loads its own player and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Magyar Minute does not control those cookies. If you do not play a video, its platform is not loaded.

Email delivery

Outgoing email, such as contact form notifications and newsletter messages, is sent through an email delivery service. Your email address passes through that service only so the message can be delivered.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Rocket.net. Like most web hosts, it keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and reliability.

What this site does not do

It does not sell your information. It does not run advertising networks. It does not build profiles about you or track you across other websites.
